SPEAKER MEETS DIRECTOR OF ADB'S EAST ASIA DEPARTMENT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker D.Demberel expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Mongolia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).


He said it at a meeting with a delegation, led by Mr. Robert Wihtol, a director-general of the ADB East Asia Department, on Monday.

Thanking the ADB delegation for visiting Mongolia, the Speaker said the Mongolians are always grateful to the ADB for all its assistance and investments which has been a support to some important sectors of Mongolia such as infrastructure and health.

The Speaker said the experience and high-level cooperation between Mongolia and the ADB should be adhered to in further activities, and added he backs a partnership program for 2012-2016.

In turn, Mr. Wihtol thanked the Speaker for the audience and congratulated Mongolia on its intensive economic development and opportunities to flourish. He said the ADB is ready to assist Mongolia in solving urgent problems and to it a private sector.

Mr. Wihtol said the ADB board of directors had approved a partnership programme to be implemented with Mongolia for four years. Then he sounded his opinions about some issues and expressed hope that the ADB's investments would be used fruitfully in Mongolia.
