Parliamentary and the capital elections could be simultaneously run

On Friday, Chief of the MPP caucus at Parliament U.Enkhtuvshin informed journalists that parliamentary and the capital managing officials’ elections could be run at same time, according to the caucus meeting decision.

The Speaker has asked the MPP and DP caucus to decide parliamentary and local elections holding at same time. On Thursday, the two caucuses have agreed to run parliamentary and the capital elections at same time in four items.

Firstly, parliamentary and the capital elections will be simultaneously run in June and soum, districts and aimags’ elections will be held in autumn.

Secondly, a query among people will be researched by some provisions of the Constitution relating to parliamentary and the capital elections. Besides, the query will also ask about soum governor election and aimag and bag governors’ appointment.

Thirdly, the two caucuses have decided to limit recess days of parliamentary groups.

Fourth, the MPP and DP caucuses have exchanged views of parliamentary group members’ number.
