PARLIAMENTARIANS RECEIVE UN HUMAN RIGHTS EXPERTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Monday, a head of the parliamentary Standing committee on justice D.Odbayar; and G.Temuujin MP received a delegation led by Mr. Arman Danielyan, a member of the UN Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture, that is visiting Mongolia at an invitation of the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR).

They shared information on tortures and then discussed a matter on running a training themed "Creating a national mechanism of fruitful prevention" dedicated to experts of the NCHR and related NGOs.

Apart of Mr. Danielyan, the delegation has comprised Matthew Pringle, an Europe and Central Asia Program Officer at the Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT); Ulugbek Azimov, a legal expert at the Independent Human Rights Protection Group at the UN Human Right High Commission; and Suraina Pasha, a Regional Training Manager at Asia Pacific Forum (APF). Their visit will last until April 26.
