MONGOLIAN CULTURAL MONTH OPENS IN CHINA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A ceremony took place on April 12 to open the Mongolian Cultural Month in the National Museum of China in Beijing.

The two countries' Ministers of culture addressed the opening, saying the governments of Mongolia and China attach a great importance to this event which opens a new chapter in the bilateral ties and collaboration in the cultural sector and contributes to the friendship and mutual understanding between people and the governments.

After the opening ceremony, the Morin Khuur ensemble and the Academic Theatre of National Dance and Songs of Mongolia performed a concert named "Melody of Blue Sky" for a 600-people audience among which were delegates from the Chinese and international organizations who cooperate with Mongolia, also Mongolians studying and living in China. Conducted by the People's Artist-titled and Twice State Prize Holder N.Jantsannorov, this concert has presented melodies registered in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage.
