“A lot of Sympathy for Mongolia”

The First President of Mongolia promoted the improved collaboration between the two countries on Thursday just before Mongolian President Elbegdorj Ts.’s visit to Germany. On the eve of the meeting, he said, “the Partnership Agreement made between the two countries’ governments assembled an official environment of collaboration and thus, we have to enrich it with “Life.”

During their visit to Mongolia in October 2011, Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, signed the Partnership Agreement. On the basis of this agreement, Germany will gain the opportunity to use rare-earth elements while Mongolia hopes to learn information on modern techniques and acquisition.

Ochirbat P. specified, “Germany’s Know-How is the premium for branches like the social-oriented market economy, local self-governor and legal etc.”

Gerhard Wahlers, Deputy Secretary General and Head of the International Division of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Headquarter in Berlin, stated “politics, economics and social branch’s constant communication”. Even though Mongolia and Germany are located 6000 kilometers away from each other, he expressed “a lot of sympathy for Mongolia” and mentioned bilateral exchange through the continued collaboration of these two countries.

Mr. Wahlers recognized deeds of former Mongolian President, Ochirbat P., who held position from 1990-1997. Today, he is vital to making Mongolia the most steadily developing democracy in Central Asia. The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation has been supporting and working on this development for over 20 years. Mr. Johannes D. Rey, the Resident Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in Ulaanbaatar, has participated in the forum in Berlin.

The Mongolian-German Forum was established by German President Roman Herzog. The Annual Forum Conference is alternately organized in Mongolia and German. The 2011 Conference was organized under the thesis of “Social Market Economy.”
