Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the first quarter of 2012, some 488 thousand people were registered as the insured.


306.7 thousand or 62.9 per cent of them were from establishments, and 180.8 thousand or 37.1 percent--from government budgetary organizations.

Compared to same period of 2011, the number of the insured increased 63.3 thousand or 14.9 per cent--by 54.3 thousand or 21.5 per cent in establishments, and 9.0 thousand or 5.2 per cent--in the budgetary organizations.

Social welfare pensions and benefits were granted to 53.7 thousand people, increasing 2.5 thousand people or 4.8 per cent. The total amount of money allocated from the fund went up by MNT 390.7 million or 4.7 per cent against the previous year.

Some MNT 181 billion were distributed to 2.6 million people (at duplicated counting) through the Human Development Fund in the first quarter of this year. Two and a half million people, or 98.9 per cent, were those receiving the cash benefit of MNT 21.0 thousand; 2.9 thousand people or 0.2 per cent those receiving MNT 70.0 thousand; and 137.8 thousand people or 0.9 per cent those receiving MNT 10.0 thousand.
