GOVERNANCE AND DECENTRALIZATION PROGRAM TO BE REALIZED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ An agreement has been reached on implementing a programme on supporting governance and decentralization.

The related document was signed on Thursday in the Government House by D.Battulga, a head of the Presidential Office; D.Nyamjav, a deputy head of the Cabinet Secretariat of Government; and by Felix Fellmann, the country director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) for Mongolia.

The primary objective of the program is to provide methodological and back-stopping support to the National Academy of Governance (NAoG) in conducting a comprehensive functional analysis of public sector organizations at the central and sub-national levels with a view to enhance their overall efficiency and effectiveness. The secondary aim is to strengthen the national capacity to carry out reviews of government functions.

The program's first phase will last from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2015.
