FORMER PRESIDENT N.BAGABANDI ATTENDS EURASIAN ECONOMIC SUMMIT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A former President of Mongolia N.Bagabandi delivered a report at a presidential session themed "Unemployment, poverty and starvation" in frames of the 15th Eurasian Economic Summit held on April 11-12 in Istanbul and Izmir cities, Turkey.

Mr. Bagabandi expressed his position on a present situation of Mongolia and international tendency on the topic, and shared views on ways to overcome the problems and difficulties.

Other attendees underlined on their reports that it is possible to reduce unemployment rate, poverty and starvation with help of intensive collaboration of countries and sharing experiences.

Organized by the Turkey's Marmara Group Foundation, the Eurasian Economic Summit aims to develop the international economic ties and cooperation, to strengthen the mutual understanding of countries, and to back ensuring peace and security in Eurasia.

This year's summit brought together some 300 delegates such as former presidents, prime ministers, deputy premiers, cabinet and parliament members, businessmen, NGO officials, scholars and researchers from 40 countries. In frames of the summit, several sessions were held under themes "Sustainable development after economic crisis", "Energy", "Dialogue among nations" and "Women, development and future".
