Ethiopia: Ambassador Seyoum Presents Credentials to Three Far East Nations Leaders

Addis Ababa — Ambassador Seyoum Mesfin, based in Beijing, presented his credentials to leaders of Cambodia, Laos and Mongolia, the Office of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told ENA in a statement on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Ambassador Seyoum has held talks with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni as to how enhance the ties of the two countries.

The two countries have long standing relations and own ancient civilizations , he said.

Accordingly, numerous historical and cultural assets of the two countries are registered as world heritages.

During his stay, Ambassador Seyoum has also held talks with foreign affairs state minister, education, culture , tourism, agriculture ministries and director of chamber of trade of Cambodia on ways to strengthen the ties of the two countries.

Similarly, Ambassador Seyoum has held discussion with Laotian President, Choummaly Sayasone

Accordingly, the President said appointment of Seyoum would help develop remarkable economic cooperation between the two countries.

Receiving the credentials, Mongolian President, Ts. Elbegdorj on his part said Mongolia would strive to strengthen its ties with Ethiopia and Africa.

Ambassador Seyoum on his part said Ethiopia is interested to work closely with Mongolia in the economic sector and share experiences.

Ambassador Seyoum has also discussed with various officials of that country related to matters related to strengthening the ties of the two nations.
