DP meeting discusses NSC issue

Regular meeting of the DP caucus at Parliament was held on Monday and MPs discussed some issues including secret category cancelation of National Security Council (NSC) protocols.

On April 12, ex-president N.Enkhbayar has published a meeting protocol with the leaders of parties that nominated candidates to 2008 parliamentary election. The leaders have met after emergency situation of July 1 and they discussed to cancel secret category of a meeting protocol of NSC that was held during July 1 disorder. They have had positions that the mentioned protocol could be publicly informed to rightly decade incident of July 1 disorder.

The DP has also viewed to cancel secret category of the NSC meeting protocol and DP Chief Ch.Saikhanbileg said that the issue should be discussed in accordance of the law on state secret that instructs secret categories in details.

Four citizens were killed during July 1 disorder and their incidents have not been decided yet. Also two hearings of police managing four officials who related to July 1 disorder shooting have been held behind door and last trial has been postponed by three days.

Only one way to rightly decide the incident is to publish the NSC meeting protocol, said some members of the DP. Besides, the caucus discussed to resign Justice and Internal Affairs Minister Ts.Nyamdorj. Prime Minister S.Batbold and Justice and Internal Affairs Minister Ts.Nyamdorj have not heard an arrest of ex-president N.Enkhbayar last Friday morning while more than 350 police employees participated to run the arrest.

S.Batbold and Ts.Nyamdorj stated that they have had no idea about the arrest at Friday morning meeting of the MPP caucus and party members blamed that the minister of the sector has not heard about the arrest that many police and special security employees worked. The situation has also revealed that police employees have not learned about July 1 incident. The arrest has shown police employees’ skill to run their operation. Police organizations’ work and method have not improved despite of budget that has been passed by Parliament. That is why the DP caucus has emphasized to discuss resignation issue of the Justice Minister.
