DP caucus takes recess on minister’s issue

Some MPs have submitted a proposal to resign Justice and Internal Affairs Minister Ts.Nyamdorj and parliament discussion deadline of the issue was ended on Friday.

That is why the MPP caucus called a meeting at 11pm on Friday and the meeting was ended 2 am on Saturday. After the caucus meeting was met the Standing Committee on Justice and it called session at 4 am. But the DP caucus has taken recess on the minister’s issue.

The MPP caucus and the Standing Committee on Justice have decided not resign Minister Ts.Nyamdorj.

Besides, Deputy Chief of Anti Corruption Authority (ACA) B.Khurts, Chief of Police General Department Ts.Sandag-Ochir and Head of Investigation Department of ACA E.Amarbat attended the meetings.

The officials noted that the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs does not take part at arrest operations and suspect is arrested in accordance of the Criminal Law. Also the Government, Parliament, the President and ministers do not take part at investigation works. The ACA has operated the arrest of N.Enkhbayar along court decision through prosecutor’s order.

Chief of the DP caucus Ch.Saikhanbileg stated that the issue could be discussed on Monday but not at night time. A Chief of the Standing Committee on Justice has delayed the meeting while the DP caucus members have waited to begin it, before leaving the meeting.
