AGREEMENT TO BE ESTABLISHED WITH CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATION CENTRE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ At its meeting on Wednesday, the cabinet decided to establish an agreement with the Cambridge University International Examination Centre on rendering education services.

It will be signed on April 13, 2012 based on the mutual understanding memorandum which was established last year between Mongolia's government and this Centre with purpose to introduce the Cambridge standards into Mongolia.

The agreement reflects for the two sides the cooperation principles and norms to be adhered to in a reform of elementary and secondary education, responsibilities and rights, as well as an action plan and work schedules.

In frames of the governmental policy on creating highly competitive educational system, three state-owned dual-language schools have been founded in Ulaanbaatar city. In six years, up to ten such schools will be erected in the city and one in each of provinces.

Curriculum of the subjects like mathematics, natural sciences, physics, chemistry, biology and English language jave already been updated by the Cambridge standards, and it is expected they will be taught in experimental way in 31 schools by this month.
